BEACHSTOCK 2019 , returns to the Margate Beach Saturday, June 29th with new activities, new music and new performances. Thousands of visitors attend this annual event now in its 9th year. Children and adults can learn to limbo and hula with professional dancers from the South Pacific Island Dancers and go on the Sustainable Downbeach Environmental Beach Walk to learn about the wonderful shells and sea creatures that come onto out shores.
The major feature of the event are the new musical attractions of this 14-hour event, which include non-stop music on the 100.7 WZXL main stage, featuring the South Pacific Island Dancers, enjoy music and learn line dancing with country music sensation Nikki Briar and headlining this year’s event is the renown reggae band SensaMotion.
NEW this year is our BAGGO Tournament, where players of all ages can test their skill and compete for great cash prizes.
Returning is the volleyball and lifeguard competitions, vendors, local retailers, sand sculpting lessons, tow at demonstrations, free skin checks by Dr. Carroccia, Margate Fire Departments Cool Blast, beer and margarita garden and, at dusk, a bonfire, fire dancer performances by South Pacific Island Dancers and a family friendly movie. No beach tags are required for the event, which runs from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and stretches between the Huntington and Granville Ave. beaches behind the Margate Public Library. Food is a highlight at Beachstock where guests can enjoy a wide variety of mouthwatering fare.
The 95.1 WAYV Children’s Stage features, games, music, entertainments, interactive activities, face painting, hula instruction, Treasure Hunt and much, much more!
Festival goers can enjoy complimentary jitney shuttle service running 10am-10pm along Atlantic Avenue between Coolidge and Fredericksburg avenues and the Eugene A. Tighe School. Beachstock is organized by the MBA a 501 (C) 3 organization in partnership with Margate City, 100.7 WZXL, 95.1 WAYV and Buck London Productions. Rain date is Sunday, June 30. A portion of the proceeds benefits the MBA.
